School Closings and Delays Information

Attention Parents:

If we have a 2 hour late start –

  1. NO Breakfast will be served at school
  2. Buses may run late (please watch for them and have your children properly dressed for the weather)
  3. Doors of the school will be open for elementary students at 9:50 a.m.
  4. Students will go to the GYM (instead of the lunchroom where they normally go in the morning) until 10:10 a.m. and then they will be dismissed to go to their classrooms.  (Lu Verne town students please arrive at the school ready to go to class by 10:10 a.m.)  We would like everyone going to their classrooms at 10:10 so by the time the kids get settled they can start teaching as soon as they possibly can, however they will not be counted absent or tardy until after 10:20 a.m.

Two hour early out (1:30 dismissal) – If we have a 2 hour early dismissal we will NOT have Preschool.  We will try and make those decisions as early as possible and a JMC notification will be sent out.

If we do not have school the office will be closed.

Any delays or postponements of school will be posted on KCCI, WHO, KLGA, CWL Facebook Page,

Lu Verne Website which is www.luverne.k12.ia.us and a JMC notification will be sent out to parents.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact the school office at 515-882-3357 or you can email Mr. Hueser at jhueser@cwl-csd.org

Date: July 18th,19th,20th

Time: 8:00-10:00 AM (10th-12th Grade)

I will be running a 3-day volleyball camp this summer and I want to join! YOU
YOU

 10:30-noon (7th-9th Grade)

 1:00-2:30 PM (4th-6th Grade)

Volleyball has been a passion of mine since I was your age. I graduated from Spencer High School
and went on to become an All-American at the University of Northern Iowa. Now, I have been
vb101camp@gmail.com

Even though playing volleyball is my job, my true passion is sharing this amazing sport with
younger players. I have coached numerous summer camps, club teams, and conducted

playing professionally in Europe for the past 4 years and plan to go back in August for my
5th professional season.

** the grade that the camper is ENTERING INTO**

Place: Algona Middle School

Cost: $50 per camper

For more information or if you have any questions, please contact me at:

individual lessons over the years and it’s my goal that each player leaves the gym with more
confidence and love for the sport!

This camp is designed to teach the basics of volleyball in a positive environment! It’s my intent that
every player who works with me leaves not only improved physically with new skills; but also,
mentally, by learning why these skills are important and how to use them to be successful.

Please contact me if you have any questions!
