Elementary School Announcements




May 24, 2018


  1. May is School Board Appreciation Month.  Please take time to say thank you to your School Board members who are Tena Cunningham, Meredith Collins, Cody Holmes, Charles Legler and Jennifer Ludwig and School Board Secretary/Treasurer Le Ann Wempen. 
  2. The 3 & 4th graders will be going on a field trip to the Rock Quarry today.    They will be back by the end of the day. 
  3. The Librarians from Corwith, Wesley and Lu Verne will be here Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. to talk to you about their Summer Reading Programs. 
  4. The last day of school will be on May 25th and we will have an 11:30 dismissal.  No Lunch will be served on this day. 
  5. The Algona Boys Basketball Coaching Staff would like to invite all of next year’s 3rd -9th graders to the 2018 Bulldog Basketball Camp.  Camp will take place in the Algona Middle School Gymnasium on July 9-12.Grades 3-6 will meet from 8:00 to 10:00.Grades 7-9 will meet from 10:00 – 12:00.There is a $40 registration fee that includes at camp T-shirt.You can register online and registration is due by Friday June 15th.More information was sent home.
  6. A flyer was sent home with each family regarding Kossuth County 4-H Camps.  If you would like any extra copies there are some in the office.   
  7. Any kids that are interested in being in the Corwith Community Parade it will held on May 27th Decorate your bikes, wagons, and have fun in the parade.  The theme this year is “SUPER HEROES”. Meet at the Lutheran Church in Corwith at 1:00 p.m. and the parade starts at 1:30 p.m.  Every Kid in the parade gets a prize.  A flyer was sent home. 
  8. Corwith Celebration will be holding a Superhero 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 26th.  Cost is $15 per person.  More information was sent home. 
  9. Wesley Public Library Glow Run Registration Form was sent home with you.  Forms must be turned in by June 12th.  The Glow Run will be held on July 3rd at 8:45 PM. 
  10.  If anyone is interested in Wildcat Boy’s Baketball Camp I have information in the office.  There is an Elementary, Middle School and High School Camp.  For boys entering grades 3-8 the dates are July 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th
  11. There is a pair of earrings that were found in the music room in the office. 
  12. If you have library books that you need to return or you owe for lunch, please get these things taken care of before the last day of school.
  13. If anyone has seen a Spiderman Book Bag please bring to the office.  Thank you!
